The world’s biggest supply chain network for the automotive and production industries Hallbergmoos/Bretten, May 6, 2008 – SupplyOn AG and SEEBURGER AG today announced an extensive cooperation, at the heart of which lies the two companies integrating their B2B service platforms. The partnership will produce the world’s biggest supply chain network in the automotive and production industries.
SupplyOn and SEEBURGER integrate their B2B service platforms
06. maggio 2008 –With several thousand customers, SupplyOn AG is the largest supplier of web-based services for supply chain management in the automotive and manufacturing industries worldwide. SupplyOn’s services in this sector are considered the standard for electronic processes between customers and suppliers. SEEBURGER AG is a leading specialist in B2B integration on a global scale and provides these solutions both for customer implementation and as a complete outsourcing package.
More than 15 000 customers around the world rely on the software and service solutions offered by these two companies.
Seamless process over several supply chain links
Many companies face the challenge of seamlessly integrating their supply chain both with all customers and with all suppliers. The basis for this is a consistent, automated B2B process. Until now consistent processes across several links in the supply chain have most often failed due to the fact that introducing a classic EDI system has proved too expensive and time-consuming for small companies or when working with small order volumes. This gap can be closed through the use of web-based logistics services from SupplyOn – regardless of company size or system requirements.
The joint solution from SupplyOn and SEEBURGER is very attractive for those companies that want smooth integration with both customers and suppliers through a single service provider. They can benefit from around 5000 suppliers who already use SupplyOn and the many customer links (hubs) that SEEBURGER’s outsourcing services can already provide.
The other party to benefit from the partnership are the some 5000 suppliers who already communicate with their customers via SupplyOn by WebEDI because they will be able to conveniently reach all other customers through one central system.
The SEEBURGER outsourcing services will give both target groups faster and much simpler access to customers. The content and connections for linking to B2B hubs are already available from SEEBURGER and can therefore be used by SupplyOn customers.
“The partnership of the SupplyOn and SEEBURGER B2B service platforms will produce the biggest and most important network in the automotive and production industries. It will open up new potential in terms of supply chain management quality and efficiency for the whole of the industry”, says Markus Quicken, a member of the board at SupplyOn AG. “SEEBURGER has been synonymous with leading innovations for more than 20 years and will work with us to consistently and jointly drive forward technological developments.“
“The cooperation will enable our customers to smoothly integrate not only large suppliers by EDI, but also smaller suppliers by WebEDI,” adds Axel Haas, a member of the board at SEEBURGER AG. “This will bring them benefits both in the form of the rollout and user support provided by SupplyOn but also the large number of suppliers who are already activated and who can be very quickly approved for new customer-supplier relations.”
